Preparation of graphic files
We are prepared for various file types, but we prefer files from Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator (*.cdr, *.ai), as well as files from Photoshop or similar programs (*.psd, *.tiff, or *.jpg).
We also accept PDF files.
Production files should be prepared as follows:
- text should be converted to curves,
- colors in the design should be in the CMYK palette,
- object outlines should scale with the graphics to avoid thickening or thinning during scaling,
- all bitmap images should have at least 100 dpi at a 1:1 scale.
In exceptional cases, we may ask you for a different file format or for separate files for each element (background, logo, etc.) that make up the graphic.
The document used for project approval is called an annex. It is a small PDF or JPG file that shows how the graphics will be placed on the product. The annex is sent to you immediately after the design is prepared. Its approval is equivalent to the completion of the design process. We then proceed with production.
Information regarding
colors
Colors displayed on a monitor or printed on a regular printer may differ from the actual colors. Files intended for printing should be saved in the CMYK color format.
- Colors from the Pantone or RGB palette will be automatically converted to the closest colors in the CMYK format. If you use RGB colors, there is a risk that the colors on the finished products may differ from what you intended.
- For complex graphic projects, we can provide a test print in A4 format upon customer request. This test print may extend the order fulfillment time by a few days. The proof (test print) serves as the basis for any complaints regarding color reproduction.
General terms of cooperation
Clear rules
Materials submitted by the client remain the property of our company and are not archived. We are not responsible for the content, quality of the files, or any typographical or color errors present in them. The client is responsible for checking and providing the files in the correct format. If the files require corrections due to errors in their preparation, an additional fee will be charged according to the graphic designer’s hourly rate. We will inform the client of any costs in advance in writing.
Color scheme and test print
If it is necessary to match colors to test prints provided by the client, the cost of producing test prints will be added to the invoice. The test print serves to calibrate CMYK colors according to the provided sample. If the client does not provide a color sample, the print will be made based on the submitted file. In this case, the printing house is not responsible for color discrepancies in the print.
Delays
We are not responsible for production delays caused by changes made by the client after the order has been approved. Any changes reported by phone must also be confirmed in writing.
Claims
The client agrees to indemnify our company from any potential claims by third parties for infringement of their rights and from liability for the content contained in the prints. The client consents to the use of products made by our company in advertising materials and as samples of the printing house’s technical capabilities.
Complaints
Any complaints regarding product quality should be submitted in writing for consideration within a maximum of 14 business days from the date of receipt. In such cases, the Client is obligated to deliver the product being complained about to the printing house.
